ABOUT ME
Like many, I discovered yoga due to a bad back and painful shoulders. I was amazed to gradually uncover how much yoga had to offer beyond the physical postures.
I fell so deeply in love with this practice that in 2017 I qualified as a yoga instructor and haven't looked back since.
I now offer regular classes in person and online. I lead a yoga teacher training course (contact me if you're interested in learning more!) and I host regular workshops, retreats and events.
ABOUT MY YOGA CLASSES
I'm passionate about teaching the full scope of yoga, from the movement and breathwork to the rich philosophy and history of this wonderful Indian practice.
But I don't think that means it has to be serious all the time! I try to keep my classes light-hearted and welcoming to all. So there will be gentler options for all stretches as well as more challenging movements at times to accommodate all types of bodies and levels of mobility.
YOGA IS THE STILLING OF THE FLUCTUATIONS OF THE MIND
One of the biggest challenges I face personally with yoga is learning to switch off my noisy mind and just be present.
In our busy, fast-paced world we are generally finding it increasingly more difficult to slow down and remain focused enough for our minds to settle into silence.
So in all of my yoga classes I prioritise giving time at the end to be still and rest our bodies in savasana. I promise never to rush through this important part of the class! You will have time to lay quietly and simply practise being still for a few minutes. (Which should get easier and more enjoyable the more you do it).
